What did i do wrong.
Wall clock ticks but hands don t move.
I have just purchased an smiths enfield mantal striking clock had it cleaned and overhauled now has a 1 year guarantee with it but how do i get it to go i have put the weight back on the clock is wound up but i think there is a switch that i need to move in the back for the clock to start tick.
Simply start your pendulum swinging then listen carefully to the tick tock sound.
If the pendulum is not swinging be sure the pendulum is hung from front to back and that the clock is flush to the wall.
This clock stopped working properly a few months ago.
It s a large quartz wall clock with a conventional quartz unit on the back connected via a hole in the clock face to the hour and minute hand.
