I am testing the camshaft position sensor with a meter plugged into the connector that goes to the ecu.

I have swap another ignition ecu but no spark either.
A signal and a ground.
When trying to start it will turn over 3 5 times befo.

I replace the timing on 1993 volvo 850.

The ckp sensor consists of usually a permanent magnent sensor that is mounted in front of a reluctor toothed wheel mounted to the crankshaft.
The rpm sensor and camshaft position sensor have good out.
Cranks but won t start.
But the ecu doesn t have an out to the ignition coil power stage.

What else could be going wrong.
I followed the volvo ignition test procedure.
The crankshaft position sensor ckp is usually a two wire sensor.
Crankshaft timing mark is also in perfect alignment.
I have pulled a p0340 code.
It calls for testing the values at the harness on the engine side unplugged from the sensor.
